🛰️ ISRO – NESAC Internship & Project Trainee Programs

The North Eastern Space Applications Centre (NESAC), Shillong, a joint initiative of ISRO and the North Eastern Council (NEC), offers internships, project trainee opportunities, and training programs for students in science and technology disciplines. These programs provide hands-on exposure, research guidance, and professional experience in space applications, remote sensing, GIS, satellite communications, meteorology, and disaster management.

Internship Scheme

• Eligibility: Indian citizens enrolled in or having completed UG/PG/PhD within the last 6 months. Minimum 60% marks or CGPA 6.32/10.
• Duration: Up to 45 days maximum.
• Facilities: No stipend or accommodation. Access to the canteen. Certificate on completion.

Student Project Trainee Scheme

• B.E/B.Tech (≥ 6th semester): Minimum 45 days
• B.Sc (Final Year): Minimum 45 days
• M.E/M.Tech or M.Sc (≥ 1st semester): Minimum 120 days
• Ph.D. (post-coursework): Minimum 30 months
• Requirements: ≥ 60% marks/CGPA 6.32, Bonafide certificate/NOC, Resume, Transcripts, Recommendation letter
• Facilities: No stipend or accommodation. Canteen access. Certificate after completion.

Training Programs

NESAC conducts short-term capacity-building courses (usually 2 weeks)
on Remote Sensing, GIS, and Space Applications. Hostel accommodation (~80 participants) is available on campus.
